Hey folks, we finally have the forums restored. There’s some good news and bad news. I never know which one to start with, so we’ll be optimistic and start with the good. The good news is that we have the forums back. That means we all get to introduce ourselves and just have a good time with each other. The bad news is that due to the influx of spam, the old board’s posts were inextricably intertwined with the junk. So it’s a fresh start for everyone. Hope to see you guys in there!
Hi guys, I’m attempting to revive the forums currently, and will announce when it is back online. The old forum was unfortunately dominated and hijacked by those lovable spammers (douchebags). This time around it should be bigger, badder, and better for everyone to use. Really hope to chat with you all in there about everything. And when it’s up later today, bring your friends so we can all have some fun. Because really, you guys make this site what it is. I’ve been super sick the past few weeks and on top of that there was technical upgrades. Thanks for sticking around, and stay tuned.
To the loyal readers of this site and people who really enjoy learning and exploring more about Japan, I must say my leave of absence was unintended, but there was a little trouble going on. But that’s over now and I vow to continue. The forums are a mess right now due to spammers, but I will rectify that immediately. DailyNihon is still alive, and I will do my best to get rid of forum spam and reopen it up as soon as I can. In the meantime, please be patient while I retool everything and get it back into shape. I will continue to publish articles and encourage your thoughts and comments on them, life, and anything you wish to share.
Good news for those of you who like to meet new people around the world, have fun, and broaden your horizons: the DailyNihon forums are back in operation. We highly encourage you to sign up if you’re new and welcome you back if you’re one of the faithful and loyal members from our early days. The forums are really the place for you all to get to know each other, hang out, and exchange ideas. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Hey all, thanks for making this site such a pleasure to work on, I hope you’ve had as much fun learning about Japan as I have. We want to make this site a place for fans of Japan by fans of Japan. If you speak Japanese and want to help make this the place to know all about Japanese culture and entertainment, please send an email to editor@dailynihon.com and we’ll get you started. Let’s help others learn about Japan and have fun doing it!
The forums will be down for awhile due to the influx of the hordes of annoying spammers peddling their useless wares. If I could I would seriously break into their mother’s house and kick their teeth out. What a bunch of IDIOTS. If only some a miracle would occur and all of those freaking illiterate morons would just disappear. Please. Please just go away, nobody likes you losers and your mom’s don’t either. Updates a la manana for the real G’s.
It’s almost 2007, the year of the pig, a brand new year. Looking back 2006 is finished and let’s all look forward to the year ahead of us. Forget about the disappointments and regrets of last year and let’s journey together in 2007 and make it the best one yet. Thanks for hanging out here to all the loyal readers of the site and we hope that our little community here can grow so we can all learn from each other and make this site the best it can be.
We’re still here folks, just need to kick the ISP’s ass and get things shakin’ again ASAP. In the meantime, have a go at the lovely folks in the forums.
We here at DailyNihon want to say Happy Thanksgiving or Happy Turkey Day to all our readers for making the site what it is today. We have readers from all around the world, and I’m thankful this year that those people find this site cool enough to keep coming back. We’re really just getting started here and I’m hoping at some point, we can post more great stories and insight per day. The more people, the more content. So if you’re a loyal DailyNihon reader/fan then spread the word and let all your friends and family know about us and in the meantime, join our forums. There’s some cool people in there and we do drop in from time to time as well
I hope you all find Daily Nihon as interesting and fun to read as it is for me. It’s hard being the new kid on the block, but we’re going to try and continue to bring you the best content we can on Japanese entertainment and culture. In the next few days, you may notice some changes as things are moved around and reorganized. But it’s all to make it easier and more pleasant for visitors like you. So leave it up to us and in the meantime, I have a few things I would like to share:
- I encourage you to give us some feedback and join the forums, introduce yourself, talk about anything you like, and share your interests. Let’s create a community where we can discuss. If anyone would like to be a moderator, just ask.
- You don’t need to register to comment, but if you did, your information is 100% private and will NOT be shared with ANYONE.
- If you’re a Japan lover and feel you’d like to write once in awhile, tell me!
- Share about us! The more people that participate, the richer experience for all of us.
I hope you are enjoying Daily Nihon and hope to see you here again soon!

Hello everyone,
We know everyone has something to say and no matter what it is, we decided they should have a voice on this site. Pretty generous of us right? Seriously though, one of the reasons we decided to create this site is for people to share ideas and exchange viewpoints on all kinds of topics, from world events to entertainment. We also have a penpal section for you guys to look for your best new friend or have them find you.
